SCOTT IAN, SNAKE SABO, JOEY VERA, BOBBY JARZOMBEK Perform With MOTHER PEARL In L.A.

October 14, 2006

Pearl AdayMOTHER PEARL frontwoman, ANTHRAX guitarist Scott Ian's fiancée and daughter of legendary crooner Meat Loaf — has posted the following message on her official MySpace page:

"Last Saturday's MOTHER PEARL show was a 'Make a Wish' night for me. Not only am I back up on the stage, under the lights, and plugged in, but the boys in my band are unbelievable. I'm blushing right now just thinking about it. I am, and will be eternally flattered that these guys dig me and my shit so much that they're willing to lug their equipment in and out of rehearsals, and clubs just to play my music. I am honored to have the opportunity to perform with them. It puts me on top of the world, and kind of freaks me out at the same time. Whew! I've got my man, my heart, and rhythm guitar extraordinaire, Scott Ian (ANTHRAX),to my right, Joey Vera (ARMORED SAINT, ANTHRAX),the kick-ass bass man to my immediate left, Bobby Jarzombek (HALFORD, SEBASTIAN BACH),behind me on drums, and all the way over to the left is Snake Sabo (SKID ROW, one of my favorite bands ever!).

"Beside the whole experience rocking my world, I actually had a 'holy shit!' moment. Toward the end of the set, we do 'Breakin' Down', a song that Snake wrote and SKID ROW recorded. This was the first time we'd done it with a full electric band. I can't express to you how much of a fan-girl-dork I am, but I can say that when the song was over I almost peed my pants. It's just a wild feeling to perform a SKID ROW song on a stage, with Snake, and on top of it, have him say to the audience that I sing it better than his old singer (no pressure),ha! I don't know about better; Sebastian is amazing. I'd just say it's different. Different singer. Different vibe.

"Wow. I just hope I don't scare Snake by getting so excited about hanging and playing with him. I'm your number one fan, Dirty Bird! No, I'm not that bad, but I remember like it was yesterday, being 14 and shushhing whomever was in the room so I could sit right up in front of the TV and study their videos. I'd pine to be able to just hang with them.

"I actually met Sebastian when I was 14 backstage at the Meadowlands. I couldn't breathe, and he just wanted me to introduce him to my dad. I suppose I failed to realize at the time that I was a child, and most adult men aren't really psyched to kick it with a kid... (thank God).

"Anyway, you get the vibe. I am in love with my band, and I couldn't be more thrilled, or appreciative. Thanks guys. You slay me."
